Adrianne joined the firm in June of 2007, bringing with her a strong bookkeeping and accounting background from prior formal education and employment positions. A self-titled "digger", she enjoys ironing out tough reconciliation problems, auditing, researching and correcting accounting errors, and creating and implementing organizational procedures with new as well as existing clientele. Her responsibilities currently include entertainment business management, bookkeeping services and financial statement preparation for restaurants, construction developers, and physicians. She especially enjoys working with our entertainment clients, as she finds the work "fun, challenging, and rewarding."
Adrianne is currently in process of furthering her education through continuing education courses, seminars, and workshops, and has the eventual goal of completing the requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant with the firm.
Huong has worked with the firm for almost six years as a Staff Accountant, and is currently in charge of accounting and support services for our office. Her work here focuses primarily on medical offices, construction companies, art galleries, dentist offices and entertainment industry.
Her prior accounting experience includes billing, inventory, general ledger account reconciliation, advertising purchase orders, advertising month-end and advertising account reconciliation for Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. She also has previous financial experience from her work done at the Peninsula Bank of San Diego and Bank of America as a proof operator.
Huong graduated in May of 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University. To increase her knowledge further, she has also taken the Tax Boot Camp course from the University of San Diego, School of Business Administration.
David Taklender, Tax Professional, graduated from Cal State Northridge, in the San Fernando Valley, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting Theory and Practice in 1998. He began working in the accounting field at the end of a long tenure with the Marriott Hotel chain. During his junior and senior years of college he worked for a local CPA firm in Los Angeles.
At the start of his senior year of college, David received employment offers from Deloitte & Touche LLP and KPMG LLP, two "Big-Four" accounting firms. He accepted the offer from Deloitte & Touche LLP, and began work as a paid tax intern. Upon graduating, he took and passed all four parts of the CPA exam. He then began working in the audit department in order to fulfill his CPA experience requirements for licensure. After deciding that taxation was his primary interest he went to work for KPMG LLP as a Federal Tax Specialist.
At our firm David handles all tax matters and tax preparation relating to Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations, S-Corporations and Estates and Trusts. He is also responsible for handling all correspondence and disputes relating to the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board and other State tax agencies, including audits, examinations and negotiations.
Shauna D'Ercole has worked with the firm since January of 2007 after graduating from San Diego Mesa College with an Associates degree in Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Sociology. She intends to return to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Her prior experience with Administration includes setting and maintaining appointments for managers and employees, daily cash handling and general customer service at a local car dealership. She has also worked with construction companies in Administration and her financial experience comes from her work with local Credit Unions.
Shauna is responsible for making sure the day-to-day operations of the firm run like a "well-oiled machine," and she does a great job! Louis Tommasino has extensive experience in tax services, auditing and financial consulting, including trust and business planning, and management services. His experience includes a broad range of industries emphasizing in restaurants, real estate, medical offices, contractors, retailers, farming, medical supplies, and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Tommasino has provided extensive tax and accounting services for small business, not-for-profit organizations, estates and individuals.
Louis Tommasino graduated in May 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University, (consistently rated in the top twenty schools of Accountancy in the nation). He was awarded a Board of Regents Academic Scholarship from that institution. After several years of working in the court system as a probation officer, in government as a controller, and in a large accounting firm as an auditing manager, he went into practice for himself.
Louis Tommasino has donated his time and talent to not-for-profit organizations and community colleges in Arizona. He helped a local organization obtain a grant for historic renovation, as well as, teaching Accounting and Tax Courses at a local community college.
Louis Tommasino has a working knowledge of the Italian language. He has helped Italian-speaking clients negotiate contracts and has provided those clients with consultations in the area of business practice in the United States.
His interests include coaching and playing soccer and participating in martial arts training. He participates in many community and professional events and is an active member in civic and church organizations.
